Who are we?
OERE began as one of forty-four projects funded by the Knowledge Network for Applied Education Research (KNAER) in 2010. In 2015, OERE partnered with KNAER (and its four knowledge networks in Well-being, Math, Indigenous Education, Equity) to bring additional research summaries to Ontario educators.
OERE is based at OISE/University of Toronto and is run by a small team of educators and graduate students.
How does it work?
OERE accepts research summaries of peer reviewed research conducted all, or in-part, in Ontario. We also partner with Ontario organizations developing research summaries for educators, such as the Centre for School Mental Health at Western University, EENet at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario, and the Ontario Ministry of Education.
