Who are we?

The OERE is one of the original projects funded by the Knowledge Network for Applied Education Research (KNAER). The OERE is based at OISE/University of Toronto and is run by a small team of educators and graduate students.

How does it work?

The OERE accepts research summaries of peer reviewed research conducted all, or in-part, in Ontario. We also partner with Ontario organizations developing research summaries for educators, such as the E-Best team at Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, the EENet team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Ontario Ministry of Education, and the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario.  We now have over 200 research summaries available to teachers and administrators on our website!

Share your success story

Others can learn from your experience! Please share how you have used a research summary (or summaries) in your work.  Has a summary influenced your thinking, caused you to question something, spurred on a discussion with others, led you to investigate further, influenced your practice? Have you used a research summary as part of a literature review, group discussion, or presentation? We would like to hear from you!

Big and small uses count!

Tell us about your experience, so we can feature your story on our website, on the KNAER blog, and tell our twitter followers about it. Email OERE Project Manager, Shasta Carr-Harris, at
